Narrative Paintings

The bulk of the work I made from college through 2015 falls into this category. Rather than presenting it as a chronological list, I found joy in organizing it by themes: Badezimmer, Self Portraits, Boudoirs, Myths & Legends, Cautionary Tales, Health & Sport. Most of it is autobiographical—the closest thing I have to a journal. Although some of the narratives are fictitious, the friends/models/collaborators, the photoshoots and snapshots, and the inspirations behind them are as real as the works themselves.
